Testimonial – Windows Installed
We are very happy with the windows installed by Install America. They look great! The two installers that were here were very nice to us. They answered any questions we had. The job was neatly done, and they did a good job in cleaning up. In the Winter, when it gets really cold out, then I’ll be comparing my PP & L bills with when I had the old windows in, compared to the new ones. I know that there will be a savings in the electric bill but I just can’t wait to see how much. I will be calling you back in 2010 to let you know the difference. Thank you again, we are very happy with the whole job. Mr. and Mrs. DelPopolo
Energy Star Ratings are changing on Energy Efficient House Windows
As you may already know, the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency have teamed up to offer tax rebates for Americans to replace their windows, doors and skylights with more efficient models. These ENERGY STAR qualified products can reduce a home’s energy bill up to 15% and protect the environment as well. There are local rebates and Federal Tax rebates available.
As of January 4, 2010, new performance levels for ENERGY STAR windows, doors and skylights will go into effect. There will now be two different labels to choose from. A black or red label means that the products are qualified until March 31, 2010, but that after that they will not meet the new energy requirements:

The blue label identifies products that are still eligible for the $1,500 tax credit:

Windows in NJ
Windows in NJ have taken a beating this February! Upgrade to more efficient windows now!
If you’re a New Jersey resident and your windows have suffered due to water/ice damage from the winter months, you may notice leaks, cracks, or other problems. Unfortunately, winter can severely exacerbate a variety of problems that typically affect your windows, and especially of they are of the older variety.
Your molding can separate resulting in air leaks, the caulk around your window could need replacing, ice can cause a stress fracture, and water damage over time can rot and ruin window frames. It’s best to have your windows in NJ inspected because even small air leakage problems can result in a loss of energy and higher utility bills, not to mention possible mold problems, insect problems, and moisture, which all could cause damage to other areas of your home.
When spring rolls around, take the time to wash and examine your windows for winter damage. If you do notice any problems, contact a windows professional to repair your windows in NJ.
Don’t let your window repair go neglected—take the time to repair your windows in NJ before in spring and you’ll enjoy comfort during the summer months.
Replacement Window NJ
New Jersey residents: throughout the winter months, you may notice window condensation on your windows. This is especially true if you have older, single pane windows, and this condensation can cause problems if the water or moisture seeps down inside your walls. This can cause mold, rot, and other minor health hazards. This winter window condensation may be a sign that your old windows aren’t working as well as they should, and it may be time to invest in replacement windows in NJ.
When the warm moist air inside the house comes into contact with the cooler outside air, the water vapor from the cooler air shows up on the glass. The air inside your house is warmer then the air outside, and because cooler air is less able to retain moisture then warm air, it appears as condensation
One solution would be to caulk your window frames to reduce air leaks, but this is only temporary. Investing in quality replacement windows NJ can solve condensation issues, and prevent paint from flaking off your windowsills and mold from forming around the panes.
Replacement windows in NJ and other quality windows reduce heat flow to the outside of the home and prevent the outside surface from warming to the “dew point”, so no condensation results. If you’re interested in learning more about the benefits of replacement windows NJ, visit our website.
Windows in PA
Spring in Pennsylvania is right around the corner. During your “spring cleaning”, we encourage you to take the time to carefully inspect your windows for winter damage. Windows in PA need basic window maintenance, and spring is a great time to do that. The winter months can take a serious toll on the functionality of your windows in PA and windowpanes, so a quick inspection while wiping them down will allow you to see small problems before they become problematic.
Here are a few signs to look out for when cleaning your windows in PA:
If you have old windows, you may notice the wood around your windows (or your window panes) has become discolored, yellowed, or soft with rot.
Carefully inspect each joint and seam for missing parts or cracks. If you do have cracks, you should be able to feel a draft by putting your hand in front of the windowpane.
Do you see dings or cracks in your glass? If so, contact a window professional before the cracks grow or the glass shatters entirely. Caulk can prevent an existing crack from spreading in a sash or frame and heat seal plastic can serve as an insulator against leaks, but nothing can substitute a good window repair or replacement job done by a professional.
Spring cleaning means more than just cleaning your home. Take the time to inspect your windows in PA can prevent future expensive damages, problems, and repairs.

Vinyl Windows Prices
Home prices hit bottom in 2009, and it seems like a great time to get a deal on a new home, except that it is also harder for people to move because they can’t sell their house, and especially they can’t get the price for their house that they would like. So many people have turned to home improvement projects to make their homes more livable and functional until housing prices rebound.
Stores like Home Depot have reported increases in building materials and tools. People are trying to save money by doing these home improvement projects themselves, like tiling, painting and customizing closets. One home improvement project that is guaranteed to increase the value of a home is replacing windows with vinyl energy efficient windows.
This is a job that is worth paying for though. Replacing windows is messy and needs to be done with precision, and experts are already set up with the proper tools, waste containers, and know-how to do a great job.
All the homeowner really needs to do is compare vinyl window prices and choose a contractor to install them. Vinyl window prices are relatively inexpensive when compared to the tax break initiative offered, the savings in energy costs, and the increase in the worth of the home.
